Election of Parent/Guardian Nominees to Board of Management

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The school’s Board of Management will soon have completed its five-year term. Accordingly it is time to plan for the next term which will begin at the end of November 2016.

Each parent of a child currently at the school is entitled to nominate a fellow parent for the election. In accordance with the Terms of Reference, two parents will be elected to serve; one father and one mother. The period of office is five years. With this in mind I am writing to invite you to make nominations for the election.

Nominations should be on the form provided which should be completed in full and countersigned by the parent you are nominating as an indication of his/her willingness to serve. All nominations should be returned to the school office no later than 12 noon. on Thursday, 17^th November 2016.

A ballot paper will be sent to all parents/guardians. In the event that only one candidate in each category or either category (father/mother) is nominated, they will be deemed to be elected.

Vacancies in the remainder of the five-year term of the Board will be filled by the sequence of candidates polling at this election.
