School Closure on 4^th February 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Board of Management has been officially informed that all members of the Teachers Union of Ireland (TUI) have been directed to take strike action on Tuesday, 4^th February. Pickets will be placed on all schools where TUI members are employed on that day.

If the strike goes ahead as planned the Board of Management will not be in a position to discharge its responsibilities with regard to the care of students in its charge.

Having regard to its responsibility for the care of students, the Board of Management has decided that the school will remain closed on Tuesday, 4^th February, and is therefore requesting you not to send your son/daughter to school on the day.

The Board of Management has no wish to interrupt the education of students, but regrets that this course of action is necessary to ensure the safety of students.
