Thoughts on Reunion of the Class of ’84

Reunion 1 Reunion 2 Reunion 3

Reunion 4 Reunion 5 Reunion 6

Recently the class of 83/84 held their 30 year reunion. It was a great success, a very relaxed evening in Rochestown Park Hotel where we had finger food and drinks! We had gathered previously for 10 and 20-year reunions and a lot of us had attended those. We were all so pleased to catch up with our teachers and were delighted they had taken the trouble to come along on the night. To give them their official titles – Mrs Warner, Ms Johnston, Ms Byrne, Ms Minion, Mr Payne, Mr Daunt and Mr Smith. We were amazed they remembered so many of us, probably a bad sign! There were approximately 35 of us. Apart from locals we had several who flew in to attend. The furthest travellers came from Florida and Washington DC. We also had people from France, Scotland, England, and all over Ireland. We got the group going from old email addresses, Facebook, twitter and word of mouth. It was easy enough to organise a group emailing list also. We spent the night laughing at old photos, congratulating ourselves on ageing so well and recalling the fun we had in Ashton. Bella stefan . The following morning we headed to Ashton for a look around our school and the new school. This was brilliant and brought back lots of very happy memories. We parted ways with promises to post up all our photos and maintain our renewed friendships. 2023 will be our 40th reunion!
