Corn Bedell presented at Ashton Assembly

Corn Bedell was presented recently at Assembly at Ashton School by Ms. Máire Roycroft atá ina ball ar Chumann Gaelach na hEaglaise do Ms. Creedon, Ms. Desmond, Ms. McCarthy and Mr. Geaney, múinteoirí Gaeilge at Ashton, on behalf of the school cohort.  A cheque to the value of 250 euros was also presented.

The prize was won for Seachtain na Gaeilge activities in March.  Corn Bedell is an acknowledgement and celebration of the wonderful work, participation and enthusiasm shown by Ashton students.

Bhí atmaisféar iontach spleodrach timpeall na scoile agus neart imeachtaí ar siúl, caint is cómhrá, cléip agus spraoi sa Seomra Caidrimh gach lá, an Céilí Mór, Tráth na gCeist, Tóraiócht Taisce agus bhí anméid tallainn maidir leis an gcomórtas postaer thar barr ar fad.  Bhí Amhrán na gCupán thar a bheith spraíúil go deo and bhí ceoltóirí agus rinceoirí freisin.
